North East NHS Independent Complaints Advocacy will be able to assist people who are unhappy with their NHS care or treatment and wish to raise a complaint. They can provide a wide range of support, from offering information about the NHS complaints process (and what it involves) to helping someone put their thoughts down on paper in a clear and unemotional way. Advocates can also provide support in complaints meetings and offer guidance on the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO). Advocates help people understand their rights and make informed choices
