Council of Governors
Welcome to the Governors section of the website. From here you can find information on becoming a governor, find details of our current governors and view minutes of the governor meetings.
Governors are responsible for representing the interests of the Trust's members and partner organisations in the local health economy, in the running of the NHS Foundation Trust. Local communities and staff working on the front line can therefore have a bigger say in the management and provision of NHS services in their area. Governors are elected by the Trust's members and represent their views and those of partners the Trust works with.
Additional responsibilities include:
Advising on the Trust's strategic direction and plans,
Appointing the chair and non-executive directors to sit on the Board of Directors,
Approving the appointment of the Chief Executive.
