North East Quality Observatory Service (NEQOS)

NEQOS is a provider of expert clinical quality measurement services and adds value to existing benchmarking services by providing higher-level specialist interpretation and epidemiological services, including placing organisation-based analyses within a population perspective. Since 2009 NEQOS has been providing these services to NHS organisations – both providers and commissioners – across the North East region, and increasingly beyond. These are delivered by clinical epidemiological expertise, utilising high level analytical skills.

NEQOS’ core team is hosted by NTW in partnership with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts and is based on the first floor at Ridley House (near Regent Centre, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne).

The core team consists of:

·         Professor Paula Whitty – Director

·         Tony Roberts – Deputy Director (based at South Tees)

·         Andrea Brown – Consultant Epidemiologist

·         Valerie Corris – Senior Analyst

·         Michael Walkley – Information Analyst (based at South Tees)

·         Adam  Fearing – Health Information Analyst

·         Kayoung Goffe – Health Information Analyst

·         Paul Hawkins – Health Information Analyst

·         Lauren Watson – Business Administration Apprentice

NEQOS also calls on a range of expertise when delivering projects on behalf of the organisations for which we provide services.
